AVANTE S.A. implements a project co-financed by European Funds entitled

„Recreating the economic heritage of the region at AVANTE S.A.”

Construction carpentry is a craft with a centuries-old tradition. The origins of this profession go far back in the history of human civilization. It is difficult to determine when the name “construction carpenter” appeared, but it is known that the first carpentry guild (carpentry association) was established in 1489 in Kraków. In construction carpentry, the main direction of work was the production of small-sized objects from wood, such as doors, stairs and windows. In the interwar period and later, construction carpentry was based on small, family carpentry workshops where the trade was passed down from father to son and the basic material used for production was wood. This changed with the dynamic economic development and the implementation of large state investments, mainly the construction of prefabricated housing estates, then there were changes in the construction joinery industry and the need to adapt it to the needs of the time, especially to increase production capacity. The next stage in the development of window technology was the invention of plastics, which resulted in a temporary increase in the number of PVC windows produced and installed over wood. It turned out that the production of plastic windows is simply cheaper.

The Polish window and door market has benefited from high demand from developers in recent years, but from 2021 There are signs of a slowdown in the housing market. Window joinery producers, however, will not feel this decline, because there are many opportunities for balance, such as energy standards for windows and doors, growing ecological awareness of consumers and a very high willingness to renovate declared by households in the EU and Poland. In parallel to legislative activities in the energy sphere of buildings, consumer awareness is also growing.  There is an important trend in the window and door market, which is the search for products perceived as ecological.

The aim of the project is to build a competitive advantage of AVANTE S.A. by expanding the product offer with new products – PVC windows based on Kontur profiles imitating aluminum windows, Monoblock windows with a 160 mm high frame and windows with a double rebate frame, on individual customer orders. The investment in question will also contribute to the reconstruction of the economic heritage of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in the construction carpentry industry – the profession of a construction carpenter, characteristic of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in a renewed, innovative form. The machines planned to be purchased as part of the project will enable the introduction of a new production process of PVC windows based on Kontur profiles imitating aluminum windows, Monoblock windows with a 160 mm high frame and windows with a double rebated frame, according to individual customer orders, and optimize it accordingly. Thanks to this, it will be possible to ensure appropriate efficiency and quality of the entire production process. As a result of the implementation of this project, AVANTE S.A. will use a special window production technology consisting of combining two frames: aluminum and PVC. The use of aluminum on the outside, which is exposed to unfavorable weather and environmental conditions, guarantees the durability of the product, while the use of a PVC frame inside creates a unique atmosphere of warmth and gives the product elegance and class. The project, as a technological investment, will enable, thanks to the planned expenditure, the implementation of innovative process and product solutions resulting from the company’s development activity.
